We the community members of Launching Place Primary School acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.
We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.
We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.
Prep enrolments
Prep enrolments for 2025 are now open and we are receiving applications already.
Please head to our school website if you wish to secure a place for any younger siblings in 2025!
Our school is using an online system for new Foundation (Prep) enrolments to Victorian government schools, called VicStudents.
To get started:
- Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 26 July 2024.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES - SAVE THE DATE: Thursday June 20th
(2.00pm to 6:00pm) Each year, parents are strongly encouraged to meet with each child’s teacher and share the learning progress across the curriculum. Parents have 10 minutes allocated to meet with your child’s teacher. please keep an eye out for the upcoming Compass link to book your allocated time with your child’s teacher later this term.
CSEF
The closing date for Camps Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) applications is 28 June 2024.
If you have a healthcare card or pension card you may be eligible to apply.

Don't forget to access the food that's available from the Community Pantry in the school foyer.
Winter is upon us
Symptoms of flu can hit very quickly and may last several weeks. Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and others from getting the flu.
Parents, carers and students are encouraged to practice prevention measures, including:
· washing and sanitising hands regularly
· avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
· covering nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
· staying home if unwell and consulting a general practitioner (GP) or Nurse-on-call as required
· staying up to date with flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
Flu vaccinations
Flu vaccinations can be booked through GPs and pharmacies, many of which can also provide COVID-19 vaccinations. Flu vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over.

Second Hand Uniform Shop
Our second hand uniform is available in the foyer at the office. Please come and have a look and pick up a bargain. Items range form $2- $5.
Lost property
Please come and claim your lost property items. Items not collected by end of term will be donated to the op shop.

Parents & Friends Mother's Day Paint & Sip
P & F held their Mothers day paint and sip over the weekend, We would like to thank all those who could make it.
It was delightful to see everyone's creativity flow freely as we painted, sipped, and enjoyed each other's company.
We understand that time is a precious commodity, and we sincerely appreciate you choosing to spend your afternoon with us and helping raise funds for the school. Your support means the world to us.
All funds raised from this event will be going towards a new play space.
