God's Love and Care for All

Term 2, Week 6

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Tuesday evening our Year 4 students with their families attended our Eucharist Faith Formation evening. These nights allow families to connect and share their experiences in preparation for their child’s sacrament. It was great to hear the stories and traditions that parents were sharing with their children. The activity of decorating a plate together as a family enabled students to represent the Eucharist in a creative and meaningful way. The symbols, words and drawings were a representation of their family history and traditions.Thank you to Mr Iacopino for leading the night and to our Year 4 teachers for preparing our students for this important sacrament.

Next week is National Reconciliation Week. It is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The theme this year is Now More Than Ever. Throughout the week students will have an opportunity to view a presentation and recite a prayer that our Our Social Justice Leaders have put together.

NCCD - Nationally Consistent Collection of Data:

Each year in August, schools are mandated to  complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). It counts the number of students who receive additional adjustments or ‘help” at school so that all students have the opportunity to learn and succeed.
