State School Spectacular

The State School Spectacular is one of the great things RNPS is participating in this year. The SSSpec is a performance with thousands of students from public schools, taking place on Saturday 14th September. Ringwood North is going to be a part of the Mass Choir. We had to audition, then started the rehearsals at the very start of this year.

What I think the most fun thing has been is the one big rehearsal that we did with two other schools where one of the staff of the State School Spectacular called Susannah came to our school and ran through all the songs with us. She was a very nice lady, and I think that everyone that was there learnt a lot from her! Mrs Knoll has been amazing, she is the best instructor we could ever ask for and we can’t wait to put on a great performance!!

Buddies

It was lovely to see the strong connections the children have made over the years. The Grade 5s still get to spend time with their prep buddies (who are now big grade 2 students). In this lesson, the grade 5s taught their buddy some probability language, when selecting shapes from a spinning wheel. Then students enjoyed making different 3D shapes together.

Grade 5 Maths

Students had fun learning more about the properties of 3-dimensional shapes when creating their own shapes. It was a fun but challenging task for some!

District Cross Country

The top ten runners of each age group from Ringwood North competed against many others on 14 May in the District Cross Country. There was a mix of excitement and nerves as students pushed themselves to their limits, racing against many tough competitors. It was wonderful to see the Ringwood North spirit shine through as students encouraged each other. Congratulations to Carter, Aasha, Patch, Cleo, Emma, Zoe, Marius, Boston, Alessia and Tilly who competed at Division on Tuesday (see "From the Principal Team" page for more information on this).
