Home Inquiry:
Reading: Aim to read for 15 minutes per night.
Inquiry: When reading, reflect on the values of the characters in your books. How do their values impact the choices they make?
Mathematics: Find out how many items of something you have in your house. For example: What different types of fruit do you have in your fruit bowl, and how many of each? Or how many of each coloured MnMs can you find in one packet? Represent this on a graph of your choice.

Spelling: Year 3 sound focus this week is the ‘e_e’ sound, with a grammar focus on adding ‘y’ to adjectives. Year 4 sound focus is shwa /or/, with a grammar focus on homophones: to/two/too.

Writer’s Workshop:We will be crafting, editing and publishing our own Author Blurbs, which we will then use in any books that we publish throughout the year.
Reader’s Workshop: To link with our Inquiry, we are finishing up our exploration into character traits, values and their actions.
Mathematics: We will begin a new math concept this week by exploring data and graphing.
Unit of Inquiry: This week we will begin our new unit on ‘Peacemaking’, which follows on from on our values unit.
