Congratulations

Congratulations to Henry Allan (11 Jones), who recently competed at the 2025 NSW Open Championships. Henry swam the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke open events, resulting in an Open Country record in the 200m backstroke and Victorian and Australian records in the 16-year-old 50m and 100m backstroke events.
Henry had only just broken the 16-year-old Australian 100m backstroke record in December at the Vic States event. With Henry’s times last weekend, he is the ninth fastest 50m backstroker in the world and the 13th fastest 100m backstroker in the world.
We wish Henry luck in his upcoming competitions!
Congratulations to Alessia McCaig (class of 2021), who has just won her sixth individual elite national title at the Auscycling Track National Championship in Brisbane.
We wish to congratulate Alessia and wish her luck on her future cycling endeavours!
Participation at the Victorian Swimming Championship All Country Juniors
On 22 and 23 March, Girton Grammar was proudly represented by its Junior and Senior School students at one of the major Victorian Swimming Championships: All Country Juniors. This prestigious and highly competitive event brought together hundreds of swimmers from 50 Victorian clubs who raced in the semi-finals and finals, held in Melbourne.
All Country Juniors is a traditional 50-metre sprint event that marks the conclusion of the long course season before swimmers commence training again for SSV, VSAC and Nationals. This year, Girton Grammar was represented by 21 talented swimmers who not only competed in multiple strokes in the semi-finals but also advanced to the finals, achieving remarkable success and bringing home a plethora of gold, silver and bronze medals.
