Mystery Bottles

We would like to thank our volunteers, Mietta Walsh, Margaret Blackler (Jimmy’s nanna) and those members of our school community who donated bottles. This is our third and final year as Mystery Bottles stall leads. It is such a fun stall with so many return customers. We would love to handover our Mystery Bottles kit to anyone up for taking the stall on next year and happy to support in the lead up.

Count Room and Collection

A huge thank you to my Count Room and Collector Colleagues: Gaby and Kim who were amongst it all day, along with Janai, Erin and Matthew. Poor Jane was ill but came in for the first hour before returning home to her sick bed!  And we loved the visitors to our busy window 😊 We smashed it out in record time, while also exchanging EFTPOS terminals and cash for stall co-ordinators. Almost drowned in EFTPOS receipts which we didn’t count! but loved seeing them rolling in and were ready for the security guard to collect the cash at 5.30pm.

Big thanks also to Gaby and Janai for helping set up the 65 EFTPOS terminals in the days leading up, and to Gaby for sourcing and collecting extra bum bags and power boards on Saturday!

A very grateful Trish

Balkan Bites

A super big thank you to the community for supporting Balkan Bites in it’s third year at the CNPS Fete! We had some wonderful return customers who had waited 12 months for their Cevap and Ajvar fix.

We had some amazing suppliers to shout out to: Bakers Delight in Carlton for always looking after us with the best Turkish bread.  Deer Park Halal Meats for supplying great quality Cevap. Bas Foods in Brunswick for supplying all the hot sauce you can ask for in life.

The amazing food stall would not have been a massive success without the most wonderful volunteers who all went above and beyond in the wet weather conditions. Shout out to Amanda, Marcus, Warwick, Stuart, Jas, Tony, Pip Steve D (alumni dad), Lev, Kylie and the kitchen crew who helped on the cabbage shredding front, Grandpa Cari, Adem (grade 6) and Elira (grade 4).

Thank you for all the support, Bari & Gia

Snowcones

Despite the rain and the cold, we still made loads of snow cones. Thanks very much to our student helpers Sajid, Maison, Will, Taaj, Suhaib, Micky, Benji, Quincy, Pip, and Teddy who all did an amazing job taking orders and making snow cones. Thanks to Hamish who helped all day and who was a star teaching the kids how to do everything. Thanks to Michelle and Chloe who braved the cold to make and sell snow, and to James and Jamie who bought us spritzes.

Special thanks to Kris who helped get us all organised before the event and checked in all day, and thanks to Marita and the alumni who braved the cold to fish cans of soft drink out of the icy esky.

Craft

Big thanks to everyone who knitted, sewed, beaded, tie dyed & more. Particular thanks to Holly & Poppy for their incredible bag charms and Stephanie, Kylie, Cath, Lisa, Emily, Timea, Bec, Pip and our mum's + others who either made items or helped on the day.  Big thanks to Indira & Edie for running the successful maker space and keeping loads of kids busy and engaged on a wet day. We had a really lovely, attractive stall and appreciated everyone's skill and time - always a huge effort.

Stage

Thanks to all the CNPS talent. So entertaining! And to Bri for her quick thinking in the rain and laughs on the day. Thanks to our talented parents who performed, Toby Cummings and Daniel Trakell, the amazing Lucy Harrington and our local talent, Dave Keerigan and Julian Senserrick and the awesome bands from Princes Hill Secondary, Wurun Senior Campu and Fitzroy High.

And thanks to the amazing and generous MC Ben. He doesn't even work at the school anymore and yet he stood in the rain all day and kept the stage running. Thanks Ben!
