Yaama,
This week, St Joseph's West Tamworth will host the AEA Retreat. All AEA's from Armidale Catholic Schools will be coming to St Joseph's and participating in a Learning Walk. First Nations students in Stage 3 will be taking guided tours with Miss Taggart, Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Jolene Faint from the Armidale Catholic Schools office. These students will also be presenting some of the work they completed last term in their Cultural time.
Thank you to the Stage 3 students who have painted Crosses as a gift for the participants of the AEA Retreat this week!
NAIDOC Week this year will be celebrated in the last week of this term. Events are yet to be finalised, but watch this space for updates.
Our Wii Gaay students will be going on camp this term from the 16th June until the 20th June. They will be staying at the University of New England and will participate in 3 workshops consisting of English, Maths and IT. The theme for their work this year is based around the NAIDOC Week theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. Further information will be coming out in the coming weeks.
Yaluu,
Miss Kim Taggart - Aboriginal Education Assistant
