PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

 Speech Night:

Our annual Speech Night was held on Wednesday,  and proved to be a wonderful celebration of the many achievements of our school community throughout the year. The event was very well attended, with families, staff, and special guests coming together to recognise the efforts of our students.

The evening provided an excellent showcase of what the school has accomplished over the past year. Highlights included student speeches and presentations that reflected not only academic success, but also growth in confidence, leadership and community spirit. These moments were a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our students, as well as the ongoing support of our teachers and families.

A key feature of the night was the presentation of awards, which acknowledged the hard work, commitment, and achievements of students across a range of areas. Award recipients were recognised for excellence, effort, and positive contribution to school life, and their achievements were met with applause from the audience.

Speech Night was a proud and memorable occasion that celebrated success while also recognising the collective effort that has gone into making the year such a positive one.

We congratulate all award recipients and thank staff, students, and families for their continued support and commitment to our school community.

Trip to Echuca:

As an end of year activity students from Years 7 to 9 were given the opportunity to have an activity in Echuca. On the day 39 students travelled across to Echuca which can only be described in sweltering heat! Their first activity was mini golf where the students tackled the course with determination and gusto. Congratulations to Clancy who won the mini golf. Students then went to McDonalds for lunch as a treat. Finally, they went to the Gravity Shack enjoying themselves running jumping and climbing. Speaking with the students upon their return they had a fun time.

Once again, their behaviour was exemplary and I would like to acknowledge them for the way they conducted themselves. This type of behaviour lives our school values of respect, responsibility and resilience. It is also building a culture of excellence and being noticed by the events venues who are more than happy to have KTHS back.

End of Year:

Thank you all for a fantastic year. Let’s see if we can build upon it next year!

Have a safe and Merry Christmas.
