Graduate Outcome Awards

Our first Graduate Outcome focus for 2026 will be on COURAGE.

Students who graduate from St Therese’s Primary School are people of COURAGE, who are inclusive, and make responsible choices, even when it’s difficult.

Our first assembly of the year will be next Wednesday, February 4th at 2:30pm.

Testing

At the beginning of the year, students across the school will participate in a variety of assessments to help with targeting and directing learning for 2026. These will look different across the year levels, but all tests align to the curriculum and planned learning for each unit. Children may come home and talk about doing a test at school, completed either with their teacher or alongside their peers, and we encourage families to speak positively about these being helpful experiences for teachers to get to know the children and where they can help with their learning.

St Therese's Swimming Carnival - Yr's 3 to 6

The Swimming Carnival is fast approaching. It will be held at Bendigo East Swimming Pool on Thursday, 12th February.

Our Year 3 students and new students in Years 3-6 will be experiencing their very first Swimming Carnival this year! To help them feel confident and excited, PE teachers Mrs Woods and Mr McInnes will be chatting with the students beforehand about what to expect.

The Swimming Carnival is all about having fun, giving it a go and earning house points - regardless of swimming ability. Most students will participate in 25 metre and novelty events, where they can swim aided or unaided and earn points simply by getting in the water.

Students who would like to compete in 50 metre events for double house points can do so, provided they can swim the distance unaided, without stopping and with correct technique.

All information regarding the Swimming Carnival can be found in the flyer below or feel free to contact me via email at mwoods@stkennington.catholic.edu.au.
