WEEK 2: UNIFORM SCHEDULE

PASTORAL GROUP MENTORS:

As we move forward, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Your child’s first point of contact for support is their Pastoral Mentor, who plays a key role in guiding and assisting them throughout the year. The list below includes each Pastoral Group’s mentor to help direct inquiries. I look forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth with Year 9!

WHOLE OF COLLEGE - KEY REMINDERS

It has been fantastic welcoming new students to our College and taking the time to reconnect with old faces in the first week of school. At assembly this week we saw that, whilst our students have a myriad of talents and interests, the one thing that unites us is that we are all on the one team here at St Mary’s. We look forward to the year ahead in learning for all students at St Mary's!

Next week, we will welcome some familiar faces back to the College to recognise their Academic Achievements in 2024. We look forward to celebrating the Academic success of all students in 2024 at our Academic Assembly on Tuesday. ALL STUDENTS are to wear their FORMAL uniform and bring their sports for any HPE classes or Sports.

WHOLE OF COLLEGE REMINDERS:

COLLEGE DIARY:

At St Mary's, from Year 7, the College Diary is used as an essential communication tool between teachers and parents/carers. Please use the diary to record homework concerns or uniform notes, as your child's Pastoral Mentor checks these first thing each morning. While we welcome email communication, uniform and homework notes are best recorded in the diary to ensure immediate attention at the start of the school day.

LEAVING SCHOOL EARLY:

If your child needs to leave school early, we ask that a parent or guardian collect them from the front office. To maintain our duty of care, students are not permitted to be collected from the front of the school or Bakery car park.

COLLEGE SCHOOL BAGS:

Please note that the new compulsory school bags do NOT have a built-in rain cover. While our bags are shower-proof, they may become wet on the inside during heavy rain. Rain covers can be purchased at the Uniform Shop for $15.

UNIFORM & PERSONAL GROOMING:

This week, uniform and personal grooming expectations must be met. If students do not meet these expectations, jewellery will be confiscated to be collected from the student restorative room at the end of the day.

THURSDAY EARLY FINISH PROCEDURE:

When students finish school on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., the College Library is available for supervision to complete homework or additional schoolwork from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Students are ONLY to be in the library or waiting at the front of the College during this time. Students who choose to depart the College during this time will not be permitted back on the College grounds (this includes visiting McDonald's or friends' homes).
