LEARNING UPDATE:

MRS JANET ROSS: ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, LEARNING

It has been great to welcome back our students for 2025. We are focused on making ‘Every Lesson Count’ through consistent instructional routines. We ask for your support by encouraging your child to be prepared with all equipment for every lesson, including a charged laptop. Additionally, you can further support your child by regularly asking:

What are you learning?
How are you going?
How do you know?
How can you improve?
Where can you go for help?

I am joined this year by our new Middle Leader for Curriculum Logistics - Mr John Cahill.

At the start of the term, one of our key jobs is to support students in getting on the right learning pathway. This can mean that subject changes may need to occur. If your child requires a subject change, they must come to the Curriculum office (at the end of the staffroom) and speak with us. A parent or carer must confirm all subject changes. Subject change requests for Term 1 will close at the end of Week 2.

We look forward to providing information throughout the year regarding curriculum activities at St Mary’s.
