School Savings Bonus Information 2025- ARE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS CORRECT?

As shared with you previously, parents and carers of every child enrolled in a Victorian government school in 2025 will receive the one-off School Saving Bonus $400 support.

This week, all eligible families will have received an email confirming the process to access the $400 bonus.

If you did not receive a confirmation email from the department, please check your spam or junk folders and contact our school office if needed.

You can read more about the School Saving Bonus on the Department of Education website, with key information now available in 14 different languages.

The $400 School Saving Bonus provides families with support for education-related costs, such as school activities and/or school uniforms and textbooks.

Allocating the School Saving Bonus

Families can choose how they allocate and spend the School Saving Bonus funds using the online system. The School Saving Bonus can be used towards 2025 school costs, which may include:

• camps, trips, excursions and incursions
• swimming and sporting programs
• outdoor education programs
• graduations
• school uniforms
• textbooks (such as secondary Chemistry or Maths text books- NOT stationary supplies)

Student Stationary Supplies (pencils, scissors, scrapbooks, etc) are NOT covered by the School Saving Bonus. These are purchased separately by parents/carers.

The School Saving Bonus is not available for full-fee international students, home schooled students, TAFE students and students attending kindergarten in 2025.
