Semester 2 Awards Assemblies

Award winners - find your name

Our assemblies are an opportunity to celebrate students' continued excellence and achievement. This semester was no exception, here are some excerpts. The Year 7-9 Assembly was held at the Coburg Town Hall on Monday 2 December - thanks to the Merri-bek City Council for having us, and our local representatives for speaking and helping present awards - Peter Khalil MP (Federal Member for Wills), Anthony Cianflone MP (State Member for Pascoe Vale), Cr Helen Davidson (Mayor, Merri-bek City Council) and Natalie Abboud (School Council President and Merri-bek City Councillor for Pentridge Ward).

We'd like to thank the Coburg High School Historical Group (CHSHG) (http://www.coburghighhistorical.org/) who generously donated 2 x $100 awards for excellence in Year 10 Humanities, and CHSHG member Steve Korkoneas who donated another $100 for an award in Year 10 Science. It was great to have CHSHG members Glennys, Martin and John at our assemblies to present these awards. Just as in the 'old' Coburg High School days, it was great to be back at the Town Hall recognising students in front of their peers.
