2025 Interim School Funding Agreement between State and Federal Government

The Victorian Government and the Commonwealth Government have signed the Interim School Funding Agreement for 2025. This agreement provides an administrative rollover of existing arrangements for 2025 while negotiations continue on a long-term Agreement. This interim agreement will continue Commonwealth funding to Victorian government and non-government schools at existing levels in 2025.

Government schools were advised of the agreement in the School Update.  Schools are not required to take any further action and school funding allocations will not change as a result of this interim agreement. 

As the Victorian Government continues its negotiations with the Federal Government, the APF maintains that the Commonwealth should increase its funding to the full 25% of the SRS for government schools, ensuring all schools receive full and fair funding.
