STEM
Recently in STEM, our grade 1-3 students have been diving into hands-on exploration with Sphero robots! Spheros are small, app-enabled robotic spheres designed to introduce coding and robotics in a fun and engaging way. They can be programmed to move, light up and respond to commands, making them perfect tools for creative problem-solving.
Our students have taken on the exciting challenge of designing and building structures to sit on top of their Spheros. This activity has encouraged them to think critically about balance, weight distribution and structural integrity, all while fostering their creativity. It’s been incredible to see them experiment and collaborate to bring their unique ideas to life!
Meanwhile, our foundation students have been using Makedo tools to unleash their creativity through cardboard construction projects. With simple, safe tools like saws, screws and screwdrivers, they’ve been transforming cardboard into imaginative creations.
This hands-on activity helps develop their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities and teamwork as they work together to bring their ideas to life. It’s been wonderful to see their excitement and pride in their creations!
We are proud of their creativity and can't wait to see how they continue to tackle new challenges in the weeks ahead.
