Year 1 Health Incursion: Daley Nutrition
On Tuesday 4th March, the Year 1 cohort enjoyed Daley Nutrition's 2 Fruit 5 Veg Incursion, a fun and interactive program designed to encourage healthy eating habits and a love for fruits and vegetables.
This engaging incursion included a variety of hands-on activities, food tastings, and vibrant visuals.
Some of the highlights included:
- Interactive learning: students participated in fun games, puzzles, and activities that focus on the importance of eating fruits and vegetables daily.
- Health education: The incursion taught students about the significant benefits of eating fruits and vegetables, and the concept of “eating a rainbow” to support overall health.
- Understanding the body: students learnt how food nourishes their bodies and supports their vital systems.
- Taste testing: students tried new, colourful foods, expanding their understanding of healthy eating options.
Students received a pamphlet with some information to share with families from home.
