Headspace Sale

Headspace offers support for young people aged 12-25. They offer support for mental health and wellbeing, work and study support, alcohol, and other drugs, and can support the young person in accessing other services that may be beneficial for them. Please see the attached documents for more information or contact a member of the wellbeing team.

Tuesday 12:00pm – 8:00pm

Wednesday 10:00am – 6:00pm

Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm

 

Headspace Regional Phone Counselling

The headspace Regional Phone Counselling Service provides mental health support to students at Maffra Secondary College. Students can step away from class and speak to a headspace counsellors over the phone, or via video call, in a safe and confidential place. If this is something that interests you and you would like to be referred, please see a member of the Wellbeing Team.

 

Peer group chats

Headspace are offering fortnightly online work and study group chats. Young people are welcome to join headspace’s group chats run by peer support workers. The chats are a free, anonymous, safe and supportive way to regularly connect with others to share tips and experiences. All chats for young people are held between 6.30pm and 9.45pm AEST- you can join (or leave) at any time during the chat. They are facilitated by peer support moderators, who share their own lived experience, offer support and keep the conversation flowing. 

Topics covered in each chat include: 

 

Monday:

Tuesday: 

  • qheadspace (weekly) - for the LGBTIQA+ community and allies aged between 12-25

Wednesday:

Thursday: 

  • work and study (fortnightly) - for anyone aged between 12-25
  • yarnspace (weekly) - for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 12-25
