The Year 1/2 teachers, along with the education support staff, would like to thank all families and students for your dedication to learning. We have definitely noticed lots of growth and congratulate the children on all of their efforts.

YEAR 3/4 NEWS

As members of a faith community, we began Advent festivities in our learning spaces. As a year level, we created a special Advent space to place our wreath and purple, rose and white coloured candles. Advent is a time of waiting for the birth of Jesus. We unpacked the meaning of each candle (Hope, Love, Joy and Peace) and how we can prepare ourselves for Christmas.

As mathematicians, we have been learning about location, maps, and perspectives. We put our skills to the test by designing a zoo and creating detailed bird’s-eye view maps of our layouts. It was a fun way to apply our learning!

As athletes, we participated in our third Cricket clinic with Sam. We played a couple of warm up games then we were straight into throwing, catching and batting with our small groups. Our cricket skills are slowly improving and we don’t want our sessions to end!

A special message to our 3/4 Families

Dear Year 3/4 Families,

As we come to the close of another school year, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to each of you for your unwavering support, dedication, and partnership. The success and growth of our Year 3/4 students has been a collective effort, and we are incredibly grateful for the role you play in making this journey a positive and memorable one.

This year has been filled with many milestones, both big and small. Our students have worked hard, showing resilience, curiosity, and creativity in everything they do. Whether it was in the classroom, on the playground, or in collaborative projects, we have seen them grow not only academically, but also as compassionate, responsible individuals. It has been a joy to watch them develop new skills, build friendships, and celebrate their achievements.

We also want to acknowledge the amazing sense of community that exists here at our school. The collaboration between staff, parents, and students creates a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive. Thank you for being such an important part of this community and for your continued involvement throughout the year.

As we reflect on the past months, we are filled with pride for everything our students have accomplished. We look forward to seeing all the exciting things they will achieve in the years to come.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful, restful holiday break. We hope the new year brings even more joy, growth, and success for our students. See you all in 2025!

YEAR 5/6 NEWS

Congratulations to our Year 6 students on their Graduation this past Friday and Saturday! It was wonderful to see so many family members join us for the celebration and Mass on Friday evening. The joy and pride shared during these special moments were truly heartwarming. We also loved seeing your smiling faces on Saturday, all dressed up and ready to celebrate in style!

We had the privilege of participating in an 'Engineering Without Borders' incursion, where we had the opportunity to learn about prosthetic legs. After gaining an understanding of their design and function, we were given materials and time to create our own prosthetic legs. The materials provided included plungers, rope, duct tape, sponges, and cardboard cylinders, which we used to build our prototypes. This hands-on experience allowed us to apply our learning and creatively problem-solve while gaining insight into the challenges involved in prosthetic design.

We have been starting to begin our songs for carols, it would be great for students to practice and recall the lyrics at home to prepare us for this event.
