We are thrilled to have our new pond almost finished. The plants are in and the water is flowing. The students have been so excited and everyone is loving just coming past to see what is happening. There has already been an increase in life around the pond with many insects visiting. Bees have been the biggest visitors so far, especially on hot days, collecting water from the edge to take back to their hives for cooling (their own version of evaporative cooling).

We can’t wait to spend more time in this area next year and we can’t wait to see what other wildlife comes to visit.
