Leadership @ MPS
Thanks!
As we close the year, the MPS Leadership Team wants to express our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible Montmorency Primary School families for making 2024 such a wonderful and memorable year. Together, we’ve celebrated achievements, overcome challenges and created countless moments of delight and growth for our students. The relationships that we have with our families is something we are very proud of, and also cherish deeply. The morning smiles and chats on the gate as well as the support and trust that we are shown by families, warms our hearts and makes those unavoidably tough days, much easier.
To our dedicated staff, thank you for your enthusiasm, commitment, professionalism, teamwork and fun that make our school such a special place to work. The caring nature and positive vibe that can be felt upon walking into the school gates (which is something we are constantly complimented on) are in a huge part, due to you all. Schools are ever-changing beasts and the way that you respond to and embrace these changes, in our experience, is second to none. We feel that we are in an incredibly strong position moving into the 2025 school year. With a reshaped leadership team and some very strong new staff coming onboard, we are genuinely excited for what the new school year will bring.
And last, but certainly not least, our amazing students! You all are the reason why we come to work every day and have so much fun being here. From the beaming (often gap-toothed) smiles of our Foundies all the way to the Graduating Class of 2024 (many of whom are now taller than us) and all of those in-between, we thank you immensely for always bringing joy to our days and making us indescribably proud to lead this school. Enjoy the Monty Primary bubble while you are in it, it doesn't last forever, and things are never the same once you leave it! We hope that you have enjoyed a successful and rewarding 2024 and are as excited as we are for the new school year, which will come around very quickly so make the most of the holidays!

School Performance Report, 2024
Nearing the end of each school year, Government schools receive a School Performance Report. This report provides information about the school's achievement, in the areas of learning and wellbeing, over the school year and is also used to inform future planning. Each school is then classified into an overall performance group by combining both of these areas. The table below shows the 4 levels, which have been updated this year for greater transparency, and gives a brief description of each.
We are proud to have been classified as a high achieving school for 2024. The graph on the right-hand side of the snip below is a good reference point for us in relation to similar schools (using the colour-coded classification system above). Similar schools are those with similar characteristics in relation to Student Family Occupation and Education index, school size, cultural diversity and location.
Important 2025 Dates
Be sure to read the 'Important Dates' section of this newsletter to start future planning for 2025!
We wish you all a safe, relaxing holiday season and look forward to another fantastic year ahead in 2025.
