Looking after our things ....

Would all families please name their clothing and belongings for the start of next year?

We regularly have an overflowing lost property box at the front office.  If clothing has been named in the past, it is often faded and unable to be read.  Please remember to re-label often.

Thank you.

Compass Tips

  • It would be helpful if all families would update their Compass password before the start of Term 1.  We have many users locked out at the beginning of the school year due to passwords expiring over the Summer break.
  • Also, would parents please not add Attendance Notes when students are arriving after 9am or departing before 3.30pm.  Staff members do not see the parent comments written on these notes so an email via Compass is a great way to convey any extra details. The kiosk at Reception is to be used to sign/in out as this marks the roll and we know exactly who is on-site in case of emergency.

Thanks so much for your cooperation.

QKR! App - Student Updates

Would families please update their student's profiles over the Summer break to reflect their 2025 year level and new classroom?  Otherwise things like Special Food Day orders will go to their 2024 classroom.  New students can also be added via Profiles -> Add Profile tab.

Thank you.

Asthma / Allergy / Anaphylaxis Action Plans

If you indicated on your child’s enrolment form that they experience asthma, allergic reaction or anaphylaxis, or they have been diagnosed since then, government legislation requires you to provide us with a current Action Plan (see examples below).  Please visit your medical practitioner for an up to date Action Plan and send along to the office.

Please ensure your child has their medication and any other device (eg. spacer) with them to better manage their symptoms.  If your medical practitioner has informed you that your child has grown out of their condition, they will need to provide a letter, on the Medical Practice letterhead, to the school stating such.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Recycle for Reading Resources

We have registered as a donation partner with Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme. This means that when you recycle your eligible 10c containers Fyans Park will receive your refund as a donation. We are earmarking these deposits to purchase new Reading Resources.  It's really easy - simply choose Fyans Park PS as your preferred organisation when you scan your app to begin.
