Congratulations to iCreate Kidpreneur Students!

Congratulations to the following students for winning a prize in the 'Future of Retail' competition run by Beacon and Vicinity Centres: Monineath Seang and Laura Shao in Year 7, and Sharmaine Gallego, and Talia Shipp in Year 10 for their design 'ShopHere Shopping Centre'

The students were required to read a brief with market research about the profile of a suburb and the customer needs in the area, then create a shopping centre design to meet these customer needs.

All the Kidpreneur students who entered the competition did well in showcasing their creativity. Their shopping centre designs ranged from private islands to water parks, with one even being in the shape of an icecream cone.

The 'ShopHere Shopping Centre' design was awarded 5th place and $500. This prize was awarded by a representative of Vicinity Centres.

This prize was put towards a special excursion to Melbourne Star to investigate their marketing practices and ride the Star on the 7th of November. The students had the opportunity to ask questions to a senior executive in the Marketing and Events team and learnt a lot about the Melbourne Star’s use of digital and traditional media.

Congratulations again to our iCreate Kidpreneur students!
