Australia is in the midst of a drought that is impacting everybody. So how can we measure our impact on drought?

Start by placing a container under every tap and shower in the house.  Collect the water you waste down the drain before use.  This can be water you use while waiting for the hot water to kick in or  running water while you brush your teeth etc.

Record the millilitres and litres you collect over a typical day.

What will you do with this water?

Will you change your water wastage  habits?

Discuss with your family about the impact we make and come up with an action plan.

After a week of action,  redo the water waste test.

Was there a change? Show your working out skills.

Challenge:

How much money will your family save over 12 months after changing their water wastage habit?
