2020 ICAS AWARDS
By Mr Roland Lewis - Assistant Principal
Each year the University of New South Wales runs a nationwide academic competition, where students can compete against other students around Australia for accolades in Digital Technologies, English Mathematics, Science, Spelling and Writing (not offered in 2020). The ICAS competition is held in high esteem amongst the Glen Waverley Primary School community, with many students choosing to participate, giving them an opportunity to apply their high levels of academic knowledge. We are proud of every student who participated, as the assessment is challenging and it takes courage to put yourself to the test like this.
This year, we have had another round of very successful student participants, who will be recognised at our virtual assembly this coming Monday. We are immensely proud that from Year Two through to Six, 200 Distinctions, 43 High Distinctions and 5 Medals were awarded to students of GWPS.
