Parents & Friends
P&F Annual General Meeting - 17 February
The P&F's key meeting of the year will include:
- Hearing reports of the Association's activities during the year.
- Election of office-bearers
- Executive; President, Vice-President, Treasurer & Secretary
- Principal's report
- Sub-Committees
- Pastoral care,
- Second Hand Uniform Shop,
- Co-Ordinators for Working Bee, Lawn Mowing, Year Book, Book Club & Sports
- Decisions such as changes to policy affecting the P&F’s constitution.
All Executive and sub-committee positions will be made vacant and an election held for new office-bearers. Several parents have held roles on the Executive and sub-committees for a number of years and now is the time for some fresh faces and ideas!
St Joseph's P&F has a proud record of parents stepping up each year to take on a role. The P&F will warmly welcome any parent who is considering joining the parent body. Training and on-going support will also be provided.
The AGM will be held via ZOOM. Zoom access detail will be provided in the coming weeks.
If you are only able to attend one P&F meeting in 2021 - this is the one! New parents to the school would find it particularly interesting and worthwhile.
So come along, find out what the parent body is doing to support our wonderful school and consider how you may be able to contribute to the P&F's activities.
Second Hand Uniform Shop - Friday 19 February
A second-hand uniform shop is run at the school by volunteers from the P&F. Usually opened twice per term, the shop offers a range of pre-loved uniform pieces in good condition at modest prices. All funds raised go back into the school via approved P&F expenditure.
The second-hand uniform shop
- encourages a community spirit of giving amongst families, through donations of old uniforms
- Promotes environmentally friendly recycling and re-use of clothing
- Assists families with the cost of uniform provision
How do I donate?
Clean uniform pieces can be left at the school office at any time.
How do I know when it’s open and how much does it cost?
Opening dates are advertised in the school newsletter. Dates and a price list can also be found on the P&F website via this link: Second Hand Uniforms | sjbpandf (wixsite.com)
How do I know what items are available?
A stock list is usually available on the P&F website a day or two prior to opening
What forms of payment are accepted?
At this time, all items are sold for cash only. A small amount of change is available, so it is advisable to bring small notes and coins as necessary.
Fete
Thank you so much to everyone who has volunteered for a coordinator position for the 2021 fete. All positions have now been filled and we are working on setting the date. We will still need as many volunteers on the day as possible. If you’re interested in helping out for a portion of the fete day - anywhere from an hour to the whole day - you can email Diana on dsaa1284@gmail.com or text her on 0405 552 257.
We would love everyone’s help in making this years fete a huge success for our kids!
