Awards 2021
2020 Award Presentation
On Thursday afternoon, 10 Dec we were able to present academic and achievement awards to students across Years 7-9. Our original plan of having an Awards presentation evening at Galada Community Centre was not able to go ahead due to the late lifting of COVID-safe restrictions; however, it is essential that we recognised the outstanding achievements of many of our students. We filmed the awards and due to some of our talented staff we will be able to post the link for families to watch this via Compass or via our webpage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wByGw3Ktxyc&feature=youtu.be

Principal Encouragement Awards and Principal Award.
These awards go to students who have embodied the School Values of Respect All, Embrace Learning, Aim to Innovate, and Look to Inspire yourself and others. These students have been nominated by teachers and chosen by the Leadership Team.
Four students receive the Principal Encouragement Award:
Year 7
Victoria Le
Many teachers have commented on Victoria’s outstanding work ethic. She sets extremely high expectations for herself and thoroughly deserves this award due to her dedication across many subject areas.
Zhan (Hugo) Wu
Hugo has had 100% attendance this year and is doing extended work in most of his subjects. He is always courteous and dedicated to his studies.
Year 8
Leyla Zdraveska
Leyla is a positive role model; always respectful towards others; always offers to help and reflects the College values.
Kane Tundunzievski
Kane has continued throughout the year to engage with his learning both remotely and back at school. He is an enthusiastic student who consistently reflects the College values.
Year 9
Oxley Harris
Teachers report that Oxley is one of the hardest working students they know in Year 9. He always tries extremely hard. He has attended the Learning extension sessions on Wed afternoons both during remote and onsite learning.
Shreya Dass
Shreya has completed all her work for many teachers and then some extended herself at times to do more during remote learning. Most importantly she continued to be highly engaged when students returned to school this term.
Principal Award
The Principal Award goes to a student who was nominated by more than one member of the Leadership team. I have been impressed with this student’s
dedication to his school work and there is no doubt this student has continued to develop into a mature and positive College role model. He has achieved very strong academic results this year and has been completing school work in Mathematics beyond expected level all year:
Arnie Aulakh
As the College Principal I would like to express how proud I am of the students who have received awards this year. It has not been an easy year yet these students have shown resilience, and commitment towards their school work. Mostly importantly they reflect the College values of : Respect all; Embrace Learning; Aim to Innovate and look to inspire.
I would like to thank all the families of the award winning students for providing them with the support and guidance they need to achieve these results during 2020.
