Principal's Message

Dear Families,

This is our last newsletter for the year and I want to thank all of you for your ongoing support.  This year has been surprisingly hard.  I think we all expected the year after COVID to be back to normal for everyone and yet we may have experienced more worry, perhaps low energy and certainly getting used to having so many people around again! 

Our kids and staff are superstars and have shown great resilience and persistence to regain our social and learning energy.  With your help and support, we have worked together to relearn to play and collaborate, working through any differences and start to enjoy school again.  We have had many things to celebrate with a return to camps and excursions, improving our reading and building learning stamina. As we work together to “create the leaders of tomorrow” I would like us all to recognise the leadership already shown by our amazing students.  I am so proud of our student leadership team who have consistently demonstrated our school values and have worked hard to highlight students’ voice.  They have led school assemblies, house events, welcome crews, and researched and designed the playground upgrades. I am looking forward to working with next years leaders to help make RHPS a place to grow and thrive.

Many of our students are preparing for the next phase of their learning career at Secondary College and are taking the opportunity to talk to teachers and parents about their aspirations. We wish all our Year six students and their families a Happy Holiday season and all the best for 2023 in their Secondary education.

We wish all our families good health and cheer for the coming holiday season.  Thankyou for your support and assistance over the last year and we look forward to our continuing work together.
