Dear Families and friends,
I’d like to thank you all for the support you have given the school this year. It has gone so quickly and the children have achieved so much. I am so proud of our children and families for all we have achieved, our beautiful spaces, our learning growth and joy we have experienced together. The learning progress shown in the reports which will be sent home on 15th December was a visible sign of targeted teaching and working as a school community post covid times. I would encourage all families to keep their children in a good reading routine over the holidays – for the younger ones reading to them every night and for the older ones, reading every night before going to sleep. Most importantly rest, relax and recoup.
On Tuesday we will celebrate Year 6 Graduation, it is very obvious from teacher comments and plans that the year has been amazing. I acknowledge all the transitions this year level have had and the way each of our Year six children have carried themselves. Always thankful and excited for what lay ahead. I wish each and everyone success in their secondary school experience. We can not wait to see you at a reunion in 2023.
It is at this time of the year that we say our goodbyes to staff who are moving on. We will formally farewell our leaving staff at our End of Year Mass on the 14th December at 9.30 am at St Stephen’s. Christmas fun day to follow.
I thank each and every one of the staff that are moving on and wish them the very best of luck in their new positions. I thank you for all that you have done, especially for your dedication to our school.
See you all at our Carols night Monday 12th 5.00pm (bring a blanket) if raining - we will retreat to the hall for carols only. It’s always good to have a back up plan.
Merry Christmas to you and thank you for a wonderful year,
Gemma
