Term 1
Friday 27 January – teachers resume – no students (State-wide Pupil Free Day)
Monday 30 January – Students resume – Prep students have a half day
Wednesday 8 March – School Photo Day
Monday 13 March – Labour Day Public Holiday
Wednesday 15 to Monday 27 March – NAPLAN for our Year 3 and 5 students
Saturday 18 March – Solway School Fair
Monday 20 to Friday 24 March – Year 5/6 Camp
Thursday 6 April – Last day of Term 1 (2:30pm finish)
Term 2
Monday 24 April – Pupil Free Day – no students at school
Tuesday 25 April – ANZAC Day Public Holiday
Wednesday 26 April – Term 2 resumes for the students
Friday 9 June – Pupil Free Day – no students at school
Monday 12 June – King’s Birthday Public Holiday
Friday 23 June – Final day of Term 2 (2:30pm finish)
Term 3
Monday 10 July – Term 3 resumes for students
Friday 14 July – Pupil Free Day – no students at school
Monday 4 September to Wednesday 6 September – Year 3/4 Camp
Thursday 14 September – Year 2 Sleepover
Friday 15 September – Final day of Term 3 (2:30pm finish)
Term 4
Monday 2 October – Term 4 resumes for students
Monday 6 November – Pupil Free Day – no students at school
Tuesday 7 November – Melbourne Cup Public Holiday
Friday 15 December – 2023 Formal School Program concludes
Monday 18 December – Pupil Free Day – no students at school
Tuesday 19 December and Wednesday 20 December – onsite program (1:30pm dismissal on Wednesday 20 December)
Long Term Planning - School Term Dates
School Term dates can be found on the Department of Education website (currently dates up to and including 2030). There have been changes to Victorian school term dates for 2026. This will provide an opportunity for Victorian communities to participate more broadly in the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place across regional Victoria from Tuesday 17 March to Sunday 29 March 2026, with Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Gippsland and Shepparton hosting a range of activities and events for 20 different sports and 9 para-sports.
The 2026 Victorian school term dates are:
- Term 1: Tuesday 27 January to Friday 13 March 2026
- Term 2: Monday 30 March to Friday 19 June 2026
- Term 3: Monday 6 July to Friday 18 September 2026
- Term 4: Monday 5 October to Friday 18 December 2026.
