Market for Missions - 2022

Why?

The ‘mission’ behind our Market for Missions

Caritas Australia works through the principles and practice of community development, supporting people to help themselves out of poverty, hunger, and injustice. Caritas Australia works to bring relief and aid to people whose lives have been devastated by natural disasters or conflicts. Integral to undertaking these key activities of aid and development, Caritas Australia works within Australia to engage all people in education and advocacy programs.

When?

Friday, November 25th  - 1.30 - 2.45 pm

What?

The Grade 5/6 students have organised a range of stalls and activities for the St Augustine’s Community. This includes games and selling handmade items, food and drinks. This is a ‘Dairy-Free’ event and all products and edible items will have a clear list of ingredients. We are requesting that students bring $5-10 in gold coins to spend at the stall.

Next Friday we will be releasing a Market Day brochure that will give a description of all the stalls available.

Call for Donations!

If possible we are putting out a call to any families that have any unwanted toys, one of the stalls we are running is a lucky dip. So if you are doing any spring/summer cleaning and come across any unloved toys we would be grateful for your donation. There will be a large donation box at the office.

Grade 5/6 Short Stories

Over the past few weeks, the Grade 5/6 students have been working hard to create a digital library for our school community, the criteria for their story was one that included a dilemma for the main character and how a character may grow and change as a result.

We invite you to read some of our stories using the link below, and if you have time provide some feedback for our students on the story you read.
