Year 3 Update

Upcoming learning:

Reading	To listen and read Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and respond through illustrations, describing their visualisation.
Writing	To write a story similar to that from the Dreamtime, explaining how an event in history caused an animal to look and act the way it does today.
Maths	To use notes and coins make different combinations for a set total and provide the exact change on selected items.
Science	To make a structure with elastic force and test its effectiveness.
Inquiry	To make use electric force and test it by combining different structures with paper planes.
Social & emotional learning	To experience patience and persistence playing team game challenges. We will fail, but we will be resilient to try again and again, aiming to achieve team success.

Year 3 super athletes!!!!

Year 3’s thoroughly engaged themselves in the Junior Athletics event on Friday. There were 11 events in total involving running, jumping, throwing, balancing and teamwork. Everyone gave it their best and we were grateful for all the support the Year 5 students provided, running individual events. From all reports the top three favourite events were LONG JUMP, HURDLES and LIMBO!!!

Year 3 event - Bounce Celebration Day

Thank you families that have already paid and signed the permission on COMPASS for our special end of year celebration together. Just a reminder the event will be on WEDNESDAY THE 7TH OF DECEMBER. The final payment day will be Monday the 5th of December. The buses will leave at 10am and return to school 3pm. Please ensure students wear their school uniform and bring a packed lunch with a bottle of water.
