Looking Ahead

Nutrition Logistics

  • Elena and Vicky will begin serving breakfast at 7:00 inside the quad
  • Last call for breakfast will happen at 7:35
  • At 7:40, doors are closed and no more students are allowed to get in line for breakfast, students in line for breakfast will still be served

At 7:50, students will continue to be released into classes. Once students have entered the classroom, they are not allowed to leave to get breakfast. 

 

 The Front Office will have a bin of fruit for students who are tardy and want a snack. 

Upcoming Week Logistics

  • Schedule – we will be on Early Dismissal Schedule (Friday schedule) for all next week. Here is a copy of the schedule (early dismissal schedule) for you all to reference
  • Winter Celebration with students – thank you for planning and wanting to continue to build community with our students. If you are intending to have one for the upcoming week, these celebrations cannot occur during instructional time. Classes can celebrate the holidays and/or the end of the first semester either after-school or during their lunch time. If you host it during lunch time, please inform Vicky and Elena as soon as possible.
  • Teacher Office Hours – similar to any other week, instructional team members will still be asked to host office hours next week for 1 hour. Instead of 3:30pm – 4:30pm, they will be 12:35pm 1:35pm.
  • Study Hall – Mr. De La Cruz and Ms. Nancy Garcia will be hosting Study Hall next week from Monday to Thursday for all students who need to make up instructional minutes, and/or catch up on missing assignments from 12:35pm – 4:00pm.
  • Instructional Staff – we will not host any formal PD’s in the afternoon. This time is for instructional team members to use to plan for quarter 3 (unit planning, lessons internalization, etc..) and/or finished grading before the end of the first semester.  
  • Support Staff – Support team members please check-in with your direct supervisor in regards to your afternoon task.
  • Student and Staff Attire – since it is the week before break, all community members (staff and students) can come in casual wear/Friday wear.
  • EXL Program – Our EXL program will continue next week from Monday – Thursday. Friday, the EXL Program will be closed as all team members are invited to our Community Building Activity on Friday at Two Bit Circus (refer to calendar invite sent by Ms. Kiang). Please send some positive vibes and support to our EXL educators.
  • Admin Team – Tuesday - Thursday we will have meeting to reflect on first semester and plan for second semester. I will send out an agenda by Sunday of the items for us to review and discuss.
