ARTS MATTERS

ARTS SHOW
Our annual Arts Show Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday 7 November in the Lecture Theatre due to arctic temperatures and rain!
Our extremely professional masters of ceremony, Tully Harari (Year 11) and Lisa Winkler (Year 12), and Terry Matassoni an internationally renowned Australian professional artist, officially opened our Arts Show. Terry commented very favourably about the standard of our student’s artworks and generally boosted the ego of both Arts students and Arts teachers alike! :)
Musician Emily Nguyen (Year 10) sang and played the piano and guitar beautifully and created a wonderful backdrop to the viewing of the artworks. Along with the seven rooms of outstanding artworks in a vast array of media and styles, this year we even had a live performance by the newly formed Drama Club performing their roving performance art piece ''Art That Moves", inviting you to have a smile, perhaps a little dance, and to see the evening in a sparkling new light.
Congratulations to these students who received arts awards. They were chosen by their teacher for their excellence, creativity, hard work and diligence in both their practical work as well as their written work.
