SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY

The school Cross Country was held today Thursday 11th April at Powerhouse Park. A very big effort from all the students. Well done!

FRIDAY NIGHT RUGBY UNION

Notes were handed out a few weeks ago to those interested in playing Friday Night Rugby Union. This is for children in Year 5 and Year 6 only. There is a Year 5 team and a Year 6 team. The competition will start early Term 2

POLDING SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Good luck to Tilani Smith who competes at the Polding Swimming Carnival in Sydney today. Tilani will compete in the 11 year girls backstroke, breastroke and butterfly.

DIOCESAN WINTER TRIALS

Congratulations to the following children who have been selected to compete for the Armidale Diocesan team at the Polding Winter Trials on Friday 3rd May in Tamworth.

TOUCH FOOTBALL

Touch football will not be played the first Monday back after the holidays due to some schools having a pupil free day. Primary touch will return Monday 6th May 2019.

Nippers - St Nichs Green and St Nichs Gold teams will play their last game on Monday 20th May.

Primary teams - players in Yrs 3, 4, 5 and 6 may play their last game on June 6th. Please note this is dependent on teams reaching finals and grand finals - Please Watch This Space

CODE OF CONDUCT

As the team sports for the year are all beginning, this is a timely reminder for players, coaches and parents of the code of conduct expected at St Nicholas.

Those parents who have very kindly volunteered to coach a team are to be listened to and all instructions to be followed by players both at training and when competing. Should you have an issue with your child's coach please speak to them privately without your children being present. Show respect for your coaches and their decisions.

Parents should not interfere or enter the playing field during a game as the on field officials should be left to adjudicate. If parents have concerns they should approach the coach at a break and not the children.

Should a player, coach or parent not respect this code of conduct while representing St Nicholas it may prevent their inclusion in teams in the future as this is not the image that we wish to portray in the wider community.

ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHER

Don't forget to apply for your Active Kids Voucher. This is a rebate of a $100 voucher to parents/guardians of school enrolled children. The $100 voucher can be used for registration and participation costs for sport and fitness activities. Every child (4.5 - 18 years' old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 is eligible. It will not be means tested and one voucher will be available for every child in the family annually over the next four years. There will be no limits on the number of applications per family, as long as every child is enrolled in school. NETBALL 2019

Netball teams have been finalised and the season begins on Saturday the 4th of May.
