Introducing the year 6 team

Hi I am Clint Lowes.

I am looking forward to working in year 6 this year. Once again I am sharing 6-8 with Simon La Rocca this year as we continue in our role as Science specialists. When I am not here at school I enjoy spending time seeing live music with my wife Leesa and playing board games. With current events, I am hopeful that I will be able to see the mighty Melbourne Storm and the Tigers take the NRL and AFL flags this year.

Hi, I am Lachlan Dixon. This is my second year at Plenty Parklands Primary School and teaching Year 6.  I cannot wait for the debate night and participating in Market Day this year. When I am not at work, I play futsal and basketball various nights during the week. I love spending time at the beach and surfing with my friends. I also spend a lot of time down at Kardinia Park watching the Geelong Cats.

Hi, I’m Nicola Holmes. This is my fourth year at Plenty Parklands Primary School and before teaching here I use to teach and live in Adelaide, South Australia. Last year I had so much fun going on the Canberra Tour, letting my students run their own Market Day stalls, watching all of the Year 6’s present their debates and helping the Year 6’s to organise their presentation. I cannot wait to share all these special memories with the class of 2020! When I am not at school you will find me at a yoga class. I also love to take my fur babies, Benson (2 year old Jack Russell) and Bonnie (6 year old Jack Russell) for walks in the parklands. I love travelling. I have visited 11 different countries and can’t wait to explore many more!

Hi, I’m Emma Wallmeyer. This is my fourth year at Plenty Parklands Primary School. This is my first year teaching Year 6. I previously taught Year 3. My spare time is taken up by a lot of netball training and competitive matches within the Victorian Netball League (VNL). This is my ninth year playing at the highest level in Victoria. During the off season I find myself road tripping to the beach, spending time with my family and shopping! I am looking forward to what 2020 has to offer in 6-2!

Hi, my name is Simon La Rocca and I am delighted to be teaching the creative minds of 6-8. This is my ninth year at Plenty Parklands Primary School and I am truly relishing my time with all students and staff. I enjoy spending my spare time with my friends and family as well as competing in any sporting or recreational activities. I also take great pride in playing and beating Mr Jessup in golf on the weekends. I passionately support the mighty Essendon Football Club in the AFL and Houston Rockets in the NBA. Please feel free to drop into room 8 before or after school for a chat.
