Emergent 2018

Friday 9 February saw the opening of Emergent 2018 at Bunjil Place Studio in Narre Warren. This curated exhibition showcases outstanding Year 12 student works from the City of Casey in the areas of Art, Studio Arts, Media, Visual Communication Design and Product Design Technology.

An overwhelming number of applications to be part of Emergent were received so we congratulate former students Jennifer Yang and Zac Walston-Leo whose works were chosen to be included. In addition to these students, we are incredibly proud of Lara Vulic from MO6 who was successful in her application to be a co-curator for the exhibition. Lara was one of three students chosen for this role and was given the incredible opportunity to work with Bunjil staff to select the works and design the exhibition space. On opening night Lara acted as an MC for the event. She spoke eloquently to over 100 guests, welcoming them and introducing the evening’s special guest speaker, Amanda Stapledon the Mayor of Casey.

Congratulations Lara and well done on the exceptional way in which you have represented the college.

Emergent 2018 in on at Bunjil Place until 3 March.
