DIVISIONAL CROSS COUNTRY

I have the results of the following 13 students who made it through to Divisional Cross country.

Boys 9/10: Jackson P: 15th, Lachlan S: 34th, Kieren H. F: 18th overall.

Girls 11: Lenka W: 27th: Amber L: 39th, overall

Girls 12/13: Summer W: 30th, Lilly B: didn’t compete.

Boys 11: Mitchell W; 4 5th overall

Boys 12/13, Zach F; 35th , Miles M;  39th, Nick R; 45th,  Ari R; 46th , Bailey M: 47th overall.

It was a brutally cold day and the course was very muddy but the students ran with gutsy determination.

Thank you to all parents/ guardians for their efforts in taking our students to the venue.

Well done to all the students who competed. From the reports from the parents you all ran with smiles on your faces and great sportsmanship. Thank you again for making me proud to be part of Marlborough PS.

Tree Planting

On Tuesday we tree planted at Dandenong Creek. We made a super dooper long pot snake with the empty pots for fun. Some plants were tricky to get out and some holes were deep.

We all had fun. I am excited to see how tall they grow. Maybe one day I will climb the tree.

2022 Junior SWAT Leaders

Congratulations to Xanthe N and Reina M who were Marlborough’s successful Grade 5 applicants for Maroondah City Council’s 2022 Junior SWAT (student wellbeing action team) Program.

Xanthe and Reina attended a 4-day Leadership Summit at Maroondah Youth’s EV Centre in Croydon where they completed workshops based on Positive Psychology, the PERMAH Wellbeing model, character strengths, teamwork and connecting to others.

Xanthe and Reina will now focus on creating and delivering a school-based project that aims to enhance the wellbeing of their peers and community.

Congratulations Xanthe and Reina on your courage in applying for the role and attending the summit with other students from local schools. You represented our school with great enthusiasm, leadership and open-mindedness. Congratulations to our other Gr 5 applicants for your submissions to Maroondah Council. They were very impressed with our young applicants!

  • The 4 Friendship Facts
