Captains' Corner 

Hello everyone!

We've made it halfway through the year!

The halfway mark has brought forth a time of introspection, as many look back on where we have come from, to where we will soon go.

The start of a new semester is a chance to realign your goals and your means of reaching them.

If the year has not been favourable so far, absolutely nothing can deter you from trying again from a different angle or perspective!  Persistence perseveres over prowess, no matter the cause. The term has been filled with an array of fun events, it filled my heart with joy to see the encouragement and comradery amongst everyone on Founders Day. I am sure our founding fathers and mothers would have been proud of the fantastic effort from staff and students to make the day the best it can be. 

Cross Country was also a moment of awe, as we saw the true speed and might of our College competitors! Everyone gave it their all and it was enriching to see so many people find so much joy in the event.

Leading into the second semester; I encourage everyone to maintain their drive and to strive for that goal!

It has been a pleasure to serve this community of ours for half of the school year. Myself, along with the rest of the SRC hope to continue making St. John’s the best it can be. Thank you for your support!
