BOOK FAIR

Dear Parents and Families:

Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills and a love for reading:

• Set the example. Let children see you read.
• Have a collection of books in your home. Update this collection routinely to keep up with changing tastes and reading skills.

Holding a Book Fair at school helps children select the books they like to read, helping keep their interest in reading. Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. 

Please be aware that the Book Fair will run very similarly to last year. With covid and flu still in our community we ask that parents only come to school if they feel they would like to view the books before they are purchased. Children will get a chance to view the books during their library lesson, they will fill out a wish list which they will bring home, parents and children can then discuss which books may be purchased.

Purchasing books will consist of online payments at home and cash purchases by the children at school. Parents will also be able to pay using EFTPOS at the front desk. More info on next week's newsletter.

Book Fair dates: Monday 25th July through to Friday the 29th of July 

Last possible purchases will be able to be made on Monday 1st of August.
