From the Office

Welcome back to another exciting term at DPS.

Just a couple of little remembers from the office for term 3. Please make sure you are labelling all your children clothes. At the end of last term we had a lot of unnamed jackets and jumpers.

Please ensure if you are runnning late to school or coming in late due to an appointment, dont forget to come into the office to sign your child in for the day. Alternatively, if your child is going to be away login to Compass to record the absence.

Safety Message.

Parking, Drop off and Pick Up 

Unfortunately, we continue to hear of the following unsafe or illegal behaviours, along Council St & Hummel Way.

Drop Off

• Students are being dropped off along Council St on the opposite side to the school and not using the schools crossing. Please ensure your child is using the school crossing and listening to the Crossing Supervisor.
• When parking in Council St  please be patient.
• The school grounds are supervised by staff from 8:45am. Please note that it is not safe for students to be roaming the school grounds before this time.  Should you need to drop your child off at school earlier than 8:45am please use our Before School Program EXTEND

Pick up

• During pick up, some parents are continuing to park on the right-hand side of Hummel Way. Please ensure that you come to a safe stop and park along the left side of the road, moving downward along Hummel way to allow for cars to progress in the cue in an orderly manner, ensuring the safety of pedestrians.
