Congratulations to Jackson R (6K)

We’d like to congratulate Jackson for his impressive achievements with his tennis of late!  Last Saturday, 19th June, Jackson played in the 11&U Grand Slam Leveller Series tournament at Boroondara Tennis Centre.  Over the day he played 5 matches, winning the first 6-4, lost the second 2-6, won the third 6-2, won the fourth 6-2 and won the fifth 6-0.Tennis Australia are yet to update their website, however to date Jackson has played 50 matches in singles, 2 in doubles (Angelantonio Errico), has won 44% of his matches and has an impressive ranking of 4274 in Australian men!   Well done Jackson - it’s fantastic to hear you are back playing the sport you love & shine in!

YAY Dendy tournaments are back on!

Week 1, Term 3

We are very excited to announce that our Dendy District has been able to lock in 3 new dates for our Year 5/6 Lightning Premiership Soccer, Netball and AFL Football tournaments!  

Students that have been selected in these teams have been informed this week and Operoo permission and information emails will be sent out upon a pending booking with a couple of the grounds/facilities (hopefully by Friday).

The proposed ‘revised’ dates are all set for Week 1 of Term 3:

LP Soccer : Tuesday 13th July

LP Netball:  Wednesday 14th July

LP AFL Football: Thursday 15th July

**please keep collecting over the holidays & bring back your final collection during Week 1 of next term**

Yesterday our Sports Leaders helped weigh our collected bags,  we have collected 5kg’s so far!  WOW!

Sports Leaders sealed the large 5kg box full of plastic bags and Mrs Thompson has sent this via Australia Post.  We counted 36 filled bread bags stuffed bags full of other bread bags…… That’s a lot of soft plastic we’re going to save & recycle into other products!   Well done St. Finny’s community!
