School Counsellor

Emily Bieber - at Kalinda on Mondays and Thursdays in 2021.

Hi everyone, I hope you are feeling ready for the busy term again. I am putting it out to the universe: Victoria is going to have a great term three, and a full term of learning. The children need it and the parents need it too! Let’s do this!

There are lots of new parenting support programs available at the moment. Many are free or low cost. Check out Parentzone’s Newsletter, you can request a copy via ParentZone.Eastern@Anglicarevic.org.au

Today I want to share with you a few of my favourite social media profiles that you can follow too. I am not a BIG reader of books, but a few little snippets and articles, and hitting the “refresh” button on some parenting approaches can make a positive change.

You could try:

For parents with little ones, or those with pink hair dreams: https://www.facebook.com/pinky.mckay.fanpage

You know I love these guys:

And this one, for free activities in your community:

I also follow lots of informal parent groups online, I won’t mention any, because it’s a technicolour rainbow of good, bad and average advice. They can be a great source of emotional support though, and there’s one out there suit your family. E.g. families with epilepsy, rainbow families, shift workers, etc.

Go well and stay warm. Em.
