ABOUT THE MS READATHON

The MS Readathon inspires kids to read as much as they can, all for one incredible cause. The rules are simple. Read whatever you like, as much as you can, throughout the month of August.

Children can register with their school (teachers, you can register your class) or individually. Best of all, by joining our quest, not only will you awaken a love of reading, you will also be helping kids who have a parent with multiple sclerosis.

THE FUN FILLED MS READATHON

While we all appreciate a classic, we also know that children today want a modern approach (as do their time-poor parents).

So, to make the MS Readathon more fun than ever before, we’ve built a fun, interactive website that lets kids write book reviews and rate their favourite reads. Fundraising has never been more fun. Kids love the MS Readathon and it’s never been easier or more exciting to take part.

Workshops for our upcoming Showcase started this week, with our 2s and 3s participating in the first of their African Drumming Workshops. Every student (and staff member!) played a djembe drum, and Kofi and Mady taught us some rhythms, and some dance moves.

The 5/6s spent Tuesday learning Hip Hop Dance with Troy from SDS Dance. We were all equal parts exhilarated and exhausted by the end of the sessions.

Our Foundation and Grade 1s are looking forward to starting their dance workshops on Thursday, and the Grade 4s can't wait to start learning circus skills on Thursday too.
