A Message from the Principal

The days are warming up and the building project is coming to an end. We have a great deal to be grateful for at St John's. It is wonderful to see the students learning STEM and Performing Arts in the new multipurpose room and experiencing how a dynamic learning space can transform their education.

I am looking forward to sharing the indoor and outdoor spaces with you on Sunday 22 August and for the Grand Opening and Blessing on Sunday 10 October.

Our new Defibrillator
Our new Defibrillator

We were very grateful to receive a grant from Stockland to purchase a defibrillator for the school. Our new defibrillator will be on the wall in the office. It is a Heartsine Samaritan Defibrillator 500P

and included a steel wall cabinet, carry case, prep kit and training. Thank you to the Community Association for enabling this to happen.

School Uniform

As part of our behaviour expectations, students are reminded to wear the correct school uniform. Please remember to check that your child is wearing their winter uniform each day. Runners are only to be worn on their two allocated sport days. Navy blue socks or tights are to be worn with the tunic or long pants. Skorts are only to be worn as part of the Summer uniform. Thanks for your support with this. There will be consequences for students wearing the incorrect uniform.

Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences

Wednesday 18 August, 3.30-8.00pm

In two weeks time on Wednesday 18 August you will have the opportunity to discuss your child's learning, their goals and achievements at the Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences.

Bookings can be made online for your 10 minute session. If you need longer please make a follow up appointment with the class teacher. We are hoping that these conferences will be onsite in the new Multipurpose Room but we will let you know closer to the date. Please refer to the Learning and Teaching page for instructions on how to make your booking.

Jokes of the Week

I took the shell off of my racing snail, thinking it would make him faster.
But if anything, it made him more sluggish.
Did you hear about the fire at the circus? It was in tents!

Enjoy the sunshine and have a fantastic week!
