AIME IMAGINATION

AIME IMAGINATION PROGRAM DAY

We arrived in the Fed Uni bus loop to a VIP welcome by the AIME Mentora and the group went with Amy to the student lounge. A get-to-know you game made the group comfortable, with students from Yarram and Lowanna enrolled in the Program Day.

Morning tea and free activities occurred whilst Mentors circulated to chat to small groups and then some introductory videos were screened, explaining house rules for interactions between Mentors and Mentees, as well as commitment to the Tutor Squad program.

Failure time activities followed, including creating your own superhero, learning about coding, planning a city and a Kahoot.

A beautiful catered lunch was laid out and the Game of Life began before wind down activities and home time.

AIME Mentors believe in the superpowers of Indigenous students, and the AIME program is now international. We're looking forward to a bigger and better 2023 program!
