Mr Tim Lloyd

Deputy Principal - Guyra Cental School

Firstly I wanted to thank the students, staff and broader Guyra community for the warm welcome back I have received. It has been greatly appreciated and the feeling is certainly mutual – it is good to be back!

It has also been good to fill in the huge shoes of Mrs Nicholson for the first part of this term while she has been on leave.

The highlight so far has certainly been saying a final farewell to our 2022 Year 12 students at their formal. It has been a pleasure working with these guys and their families and see them evolve into wonderful young people about to head out into the real world. I am sure the whole school community would join me in thanking them for all they have contributed to Guyra Central School and wish them well their futures and what comes next.

It has also been exciting to watch another couple of groups of students reaching key points in their education and lives. We have been pleased to welcome our prospective Year 7 and Kindy 2023 students to the school during this year and it has been great to see them engage with the programs and activities that have welcomed them and helped them prepare for the big moments to come next year.

As part of a hectic term 4 we are also looking forward to recognising the outstanding achievements of our students at our Presentation Day on 9th December. Invitations for parents are due to be sent very soon.
