New COVID guidelines
Dear KDC Community, DET have issued a new set of guidelines for COVID. I have summarized these below:
- Students who test positive to COVID-19 should stay home and isolate for 5 days or until they have no symptoms
- Students with possible COVID symptoms should not attend school and will be sent home if symptoms develop at school
- Parents should still advise the school of a COVID-19 positive test result
- Parents are asked to continue to report positive student COVID-19 cases using the VicED COVID Tool.
- Anyone who still wants to wear a face mask will be supported and we will continue to make face masks available, as well as RATs.
- The Department of Health recommends that masks should be worn at school by anyone who is a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
If we follow these guidelines, it will help to keep us all well.
