From the Principal's Office

Mr Chad Harris

Welcome back to the start of Term 4.

We hope that you had an enjoyable time with your family and managed to get some time outside between the rain.

Term 4 is always a busy term as we wrap up the year and celebrate the many achievements with the school community.

The recent announcement to changes to covid restrictions will allow us to have community onsite for our celebrations.  Further details will be released as they become available.

Important change to end of school date

As we near the end of the year, I want to thank you for your ongoing support and notify you of a date change for the last day of Term 4 classes.

Students will now finish school on Friday 16 December 2022.

This is due to an additional School Development Day announced for staff across NSW public schools.

School Development Days allow our staff to participate in professional learning that was put on hold due to COVID-19 staffing pressures and plan ahead for 2023 to ensure we meet the needs of our students.

With this change, we ask that you arrange alternative care for your child on Monday 19 December.

This week we welcome back Mrs Phillips who is returning to Woodland Road on a Wednesday and Thursday.  Mrs Phillips will be working across the school.

The Importance of arriving on time

Arriving at school and class on time:

  • Ensures that students do not miss out on important learning activities scheduled early in the day
  • Helps students learn the importance of punctuality and routineظ Give students time to greet their friends before class
  • Reduces classroom disruption

Lateness is recorded as a partial absence and must be explained by parents.
