My Journey of Mr Teen International Australia - By Anash Mohammad
What is Mr Teen International
Mister Teen International (MTI), established in 2017, is the grandest international male teen pageant that aims to develop young men into exemplary leaders through EMPOWERMENT.
Winning Mr Teen International Australia was quite a journey for me, as I faced several challenges along the way. One of the biggest hurdles I had to overcome was my fear of public speaking, which was quite challenging. However, with time and effort, I was able to conquer this fear. My parents then reached out to a pageant trainer based in Sydney to help me prepare for the competition. To receive training from him, I had to travel to Sydney every weekend, which was certainly tough for me. Nevertheless, I persevered and attended the training sessions every weekend without fail.
On the day of the pageant, I was feeling very nervous. However, I knew that I had to conquer my nerves and step out in front of the entire country of Australia to reveal my true self.
For my national costume, I wore an electrical gold bird costume which represents the gold mine of Australia at Ballarat. It was such a unique and stunning outfit that really stood out among the other costumes at the event. I received so many compliments on it and felt so proud to be representing my country in such a beautiful way. The intricate details of the costume were truly impressive, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. I will definitely be keeping this costume as a special memento of this incredible experience.
My final question and answer
“What advice would you give the youth who are watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?”
My Answer ) “I think the biggest pressure the youth today are facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique and that is what makes you beautiful, stop comparing yourselves with others and let's talk about more important things that's happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. Come out and speak for yourself because you are the leader of your life, you are the voice of your own. I believed in myself, and that's why I'm standing here today.” “Thank you.”
When the top two were announced, I was shocked to hear my name called out. I approached my opponent, holding their hand tightly as we awaited the final verdict. In my mind, I silently prayed for victory. Suddenly, the host announced, "And the winner is, ANASH MOHAMMAD." It was as if the ground beneath me had shifted. The moment the crown was placed on my head and I took my first walk as Mister Teen International Australia was undoubtedly the greatest moment of my life. I will always cherish that unforgettable experience.
So this was my journey of Mister Teen International Australia. It was truly an unforgettable experience, filled with excitement, challenges, and growth. From the moment I stepped onto the stage, I knew that this competition was going to push me to my limits. But with hard work, dedication, and the support of my friends and family, I was able to rise to the occasion and give it my all. The competition was intense, but the bonds that I formed with my fellow contestants will last a lifetime. I am grateful for this opportunity and will cherish the memories forever.
