Principal's message

Dear Parents and Friends,

Week five of term two started with a wonderful morning of classes spending time with Andrew Chinn,  a visiting musician and writer/composer of the song sung in our Mothers Day mass These Hands.  Andrew spent time with each area singing and performing before the school came together in the afternoon for a very entertaining concert. The children laughed, danced, clapped and joyously sang many songs together as Andrew shared his music and his faith with our children.

We are grateful for the gift of Andrew and his music and for his influence on the  faith development of our children.

Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation

On Saturday night our children and their families joined with our parish in celebrating two memorable occasions.  St. Patrick’s Church celebrated 160 years as a  parish  and our sacramental children  received the gift of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation and received the Eucharist for the first time.

The evening was a reverent  celebration with Bishop Shane, Mons. Cris and Father Nathan all supported our children and ensured their evening was sacred. Many of our  staff were able to attend and witness this significant moment for our children.

We thank the teachers in the Grade three and four area for their assistance in preparing the children for the sacraments, Jono and Sarah Holmes Brown for gifting us with their music and for our parish faith community who witnessed and welcomed these children as participating members of our church.

Have a great week, everyone!
